The ABC Motsepe National Champions and newly promoted National First Division (NFD) side, Hope FC, has signed Tyler Cicero (20) from Stellenbosch FC.
After a five-year stint at Stellenbosch FC academy, Cicero put pen to paper on a two-year deal that will keep The Bafana Bafana youth international at the Cape Town-based club until 2028. In a statement released on 23 June, Hope FC confirmed that the 20-year-old left-back will represent The Immortals in the upcoming 2026/2027 NFD campaign as they fight for promotion to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Cicero reflected on his five-year stint at The Maroons, saying that things did not work out as he had planned. “I needed a different environment to make myself a better player. […] I feel like Hope FC is the right club to help me achieve my goals,” he added.
Hope FC’s statement further described Cicero as “one of the exciting young players to emerge from the Cape Winelands”, adding that they aim to further his development. Cicero added that he wants to help The Immortals reach the highest level of South African football.
