Stellenbosch T20 Global League team renamed as Stellenbosch Kings

The Stellenbosch based T20 Global League team will be known as the Stellenbosch Kings. The announcement was made on Wednesday at a Global League event at Val de Vie Estate in the Cape Winelands.

The name change comes as a result of new ownership of the team which was bought by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta. The Indian celebrity is also the co-owner of the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League.
